A Veteran Owned Company
About Us
At our core, we believe dog training should be transformative, not transactional. That's why our facility was built around a simple promise: every dog deserves training that strengthens confidence, deepens trust, and creates lasting behavior change—not quick fixes that fade the moment you leave the parking lot.
We combine science-based methods, real-world behavior shaping, and personalized coaching to create training experiences that work for both ends of the leash. Our trainers don't just teach commands; they teach dogs how to think, how to self-regulate, and how to succeed in everyday environments. Owners are part of the process too, gaining the tools and clarity needed to reinforce progress at home.
What sets us apart is our commitment to dynamic, enrichment-driven learning. Every session is designed to challenge the mind, build resilience, and nurture a dog's natural instincts in healthy, structured ways. From confidence-building exercises to distraction-proofing and social skills, we focus on developing well-rounded dogs who thrive—not just behave.
We're a veteran-owned, trust-driven team that treats every dog like an individual, not a number. Whether you're navigating puppyhood, tackling reactivity, or preparing your dog for advanced work, we meet you where you are and guide you forward with clarity, compassion, and proven results.
Because when training is done right, it doesn't just change your dog—it enriches your entire life together.

When your dog isn't listening, it can wear you down fast. The nonstop barking, jumping on guests, pulling you down the street, accidents in the house, chewed-up belongings—or even early signs of aggression—can leave you feeling frustrated and unsure of what to do next. It's tough to admit, but sometimes life with a dog doesn't feel as fun or easy as you imagined.
But you're not alone in this, and you absolutely don't have to give up on your dog.

Deborah
John is a phenomenal trainer and teacher. My first impression was what an extraordinary and innate connection he has with dogs. He understands their unique needs and has a profound understanding of canine behavior and psychology. Both of our dogs immediately connected with him. With very little interaction he was able to build a bond and understand their different personalities and how they would best respond to instruction, and I saw the results right away. John is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and the results of his work are evidence of that. He is committed to making sure that dogs learn the “right way” and that obedience is based on respect and trust, and not fear. After working with John, I have two wonderful dogs that are obedient, well-mannered, and above all, who listen and follow me because they want to. I also appreciated John’s desire to teach me as an owner how to maintain and further his training, and I feel I learned as much as my dogs did. He is extremely professional and extremely knowledgeable, and I can’t say enough good things about him and how happy I am with the results. He is the standard of what I would look for in a trainer, and I will be using him for all my dogs in the future.John is a phenomenal trainer and teacher. Maddie
Working with John Derek has been so rewarding. He immediately recognized that her behavior wasn’t aggression but based in fear. It turned out that the problem wasn’t with her, but with us. Although we thought we were communicating what we wanted, our behavior was only draining her confidence and comfort. One of the first things we learned was that communicating with a dog is different from communicating with a human. Our tone of voice, body language, and attempts to calm or reassure her only reinforced that the people coming into our house were dangerous and that behaving aggressively was correct. John Derek has been training Maddie, but he has mostly been training us, giving us the tools to establish expectations. Maddie has taken to training like a fish to water, and seems to enjoy working her tasks. She gets excited whenever we get her training leash out. It has been so amazing to see the improvement over just a few weeks. We are so thankful to John Derek, for showing us that not only is our dog “trainable”, we are trainable too, and we now have the confidence to show Maddie how to be the best “good girl” she can be.Working with John Derek has been so rewarding.
