A Veteran Owned Company

About Us

At our core, we believe dog training should be transformative, not transactional. That's why our facility was built around a simple promise: every dog deserves training that strengthens confidence, deepens trust, and creates lasting behavior change—not quick fixes that fade the moment you leave the parking lot.

We combine science-based methods, real-world behavior shaping, and personalized coaching to create training experiences that work for both ends of the leash. Our trainers don't just teach commands; they teach dogs how to think, how to self-regulate, and how to succeed in everyday environments. Owners are part of the process too, gaining the tools and clarity needed to reinforce progress at home.

What sets us apart is our commitment to dynamic, enrichment-driven learning. Every session is designed to challenge the mind, build resilience, and nurture a dog's natural instincts in healthy, structured ways. From confidence-building exercises to distraction-proofing and social skills, we focus on developing well-rounded dogs who thrive—not just behave.

We're a veteran-owned, trust-driven team that treats every dog like an individual, not a number. Whether you're navigating puppyhood, tackling reactivity, or preparing your dog for advanced work, we meet you where you are and guide you forward with clarity, compassion, and proven results.

Because when training is done right, it doesn't just change your dog—it enriches your entire life together.

When your dog isn't listening, it can wear you down fast. The nonstop barking, jumping on guests, pulling you down the street, accidents in the house, chewed-up belongings—or even early signs of aggression—can leave you feeling frustrated and unsure of what to do next. It's tough to admit, but sometimes life with a dog doesn't feel as fun or easy as you imagined.

But you're not alone in this, and you absolutely don't have to give up on your dog.

Simple Steps to a Better Behaved Dog

1

Schedule Your Session

Meet with our trainers so we can understand your dog's behavior, your goals, and the best path forward. This first step gives you clarity, confidence, and a personalized training plan.

Working with John Derek has been so rewarding. He immediately recognized that her behavior wasn’t aggression but based in fear. It turned out that the problem wasn’t with her, but with us. Austin, dog trainer

Austin

Austin began his journey as a dog trainer in 2023. Growing up in California, he spent his entire life around hunting and family dogs. His passion for working dogs intensified during his time in the Army. In 2025, after graduating from NePoPo® Silver School, he officially launched his professional career as a dog trainer. His primary goal is to work more in depth with shelter dogs, helping more families gain a companion they can trust—and who can trust them in return. He also looks forward to working with and training police and military working dogs in the future.

Brandon, dog trainer

Brandon

Originally from Michigan, Brandon brings four years of hands-on dog training experience shaped by a deep connection to bird-hunting culture and working dogs. As an owner of German Shorthaired Pointers, he understands firsthand the balance between drive, structure, and companionship. Brandon is a proud member of NAVHDA, where his training philosophy is grounded in purpose, partnership, and respect for each dog’s instincts.

Brandon is a dedicated dog trainer at Waterton Canyon whose work centers on building true partnership between dogs and their people. He specializes in companionship, clear communication, and accountability—helping owners understand their dog’s needs while creating structure, trust, and consistency. Brandon believes lasting results come from strong relationships, thoughtful guidance, and training that supports both the dog’s well-being and the human-canine bond.
